New Iberia - A memorial visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Richard James Landry, 69, who passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at his residence.
A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Landry was born on May 1, 1948 to the late Oliver and Mathilde Hebert Landry. He was a contractor, having worked for Kingston Construction, Hebert Brothers, River Valley, Better Builders of Texas, and Warren Trahan. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing orange trees, and when he was younger, enjoyed hunting. Richard was a jack of all trades that could fix anything, and loved to help people.
Richard is survived by three sisters, Joyce Maturin, Darnell Delcambre, and Peggy Morvant, all of New Iberia; stepsons, Kenneth and Tracy Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Lloyd Landry.
