Erath - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Richard Lee Vincent, Sr., 74, who passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at his home.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 9:00am until 2:00pm on Tuesday, with Recitation of the Rosary at 1:00pm.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Officiant.
Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
A longtime resident of Vermilion parish, Richard Lee Vincent, Sr. was born in Sulphur, LA on January 14, 1943 to the late Ras and Ruth Aucoin Vincent. He was a Jack of all trades, and worked in the oilfield most of his life. Richard was a hard worker who loved cooking, cutting grass, and drinking Natural Light on his porch, but what he cherished most was time spent with family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Vincent is survived by daughters, Lisa Vincent, Michelle Andras and husband Troy Andras, Sr., and Danielle Delcambre and companion, Joseph Thompson; sons, Richard Lee Vincent, Jr. and wife Stacey Lee Vincent, and Hector James Vincent and wife Kelle Vincent; sisters, Lottie Delcambre, Lucy Rookes, and Debbie Webb; brother, Jimmy Vincent; grandchildren, Richard Lee Vincent III and fiance' Michael David, Nola Leeanne Marie Vincent, Aron Lee Vincent, Julien Lee Vincent, Troy Andras, Jr. and wife Barbara, William Andras and wife Gabrielle, Brandon Lee Andras, Ridge Melancon, Alyssa Vincent, Haylie Vincent, Malloree Tassin, and Gavin Tassin; nine great-grandchildren; and close friends, Henry Fairchild, Jeremy Daigle, and Connie Lopez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Langlinais and Sally Vincent; brother, Jefferson Vincent; and two wives, Joyce Langlinais Vincent and Shirley Walker Vincent.
Pallbearers will be Hector James Vincent, Richard Lee Vincent, Jr., William Andras, Brandon Lee Andras, Ridge Melancon, Jeremy Daigle, and Troy James Andras, Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Aron Lee Vincent, Julien Lee Vincent, Austin Lee Andras, Wilson Andras, Troy Andras, Jr., and Henry Clay.
