Rickey Duplechien

Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia, for Rickey Paul Duplechien, 57, who died on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Gonzales. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Deacon Ken Soignier will conduct the funeral service. Rickey was a native of Cecilia and a resident of Baton Rouge. Survivors include three brothers, Billy Duplechien and his wife, Velma, of Coteau Holmes, and Kenneth and Murphy Duplechien, both of Cecilia; and special friends, Nedda Taylor of Baton Rouge, and Lucille 'Fannie' Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Rena Courville Duplechien. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Ken Soignier at 7 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Logan, Orry, Cabe, and Billy Duplechien.
