Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rickey Francis Landry, 59, who passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Peter Emusa will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Kenisha Amar and Chelsea Stewart. Gift Bearers will be Aalaiyah ANae Batiste and Kaymie Mavelyn Landry. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Rickey enjoyed dancing and horse racing. He cherished moments spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Landry of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Bradford Landry of Breaux Bridge and Rickey Lindon of Lafayette; his brothers, Lester Landry, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Breaux Bridge and Michael Landry of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Shirley Guidry of Breaux Bridge, Rose Mercier of Breaux Bridge, Norma Dural and her husband, John of Breaux Bridge, Juanita Carter and her husband, Greg of San Francisco, CA, Nancy Landry of San Francisco, CA, Laura Pitte and her husband, Leo of Breaux Bridge, Joann Stewart and her husband, Leo of San Francisco, CA, Kathy Johnson Joseph of Breaux Bridge; and his sisters-in-law, Tammy Landry and Debra Landry both of Breaux Bridge.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Landry, Sr.; his mother, Mary LeBlanc Landry, his grandparents, Elbie and Willie LeBlanc and Aspie and Adam Landry; his brother, Larry Landry; his sister, Vesta Mae Landry; his niece, Thetra Mercier; his nephew, Ronnie Landry; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Mercier, Jr., Carson Guidry, and Alvin Henry.
Pallbearers will be Coddie Noel, Ricky Lindon, Edward Mercier Jr., Terry Landry, Lyle Pitte, and Khristian Chiles.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradford Landry, Noah John, Michael Landry, Lester Landry, Jr., Patrick Domonoter, Leo Pitte, Leadrick Pitte, Melvin LeBlanc, Manuel Pitte, Mitch Blair, and Steve Amar.
