Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Rickey James Landry II, 26, who passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday by Grace Huval and Amanda Caillier.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Rickey loved to draw, play video games, cooking, boiling crawfish and fishing. He will be remembered for his soft hearted personality, his dimples when he smiled and his long eyelashes. he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him..
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Landry of Opelousas; father, Rickey James Landry and companion, Karen Broussard of St. Martinville, LA; mother, Tina Landry and companion, Billy East of Abbeville; sons, Trey Shaun Landry of Opelousas, Chantom James Castille of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Colby Landry and wife Autumn, Zachary Landry and girlfriend, Mya; sister, Jana Thomas and spouse Frank of Erath; nieces, Amelia Thomas of Erath, Ruby Grace Thomas of Erath; nephew, Oliver Landry; paternal grandmother, Verna Mae Landry of St. Martinville; companion, Chelsea Castille of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his maternal prandparents, Francis and Margaret Huval, paternal grandfather, Joseph Roy Landry.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Clark, Jared Rose, Chris Leal, Glenn Bourque, J. Jay Soignier, and Herbie Ballback.
