Rickey Pierre Sr.

Parks - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Rickey Noel ""Hollywood"" Pierre, Sr., 48, who passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Fr. Bryce Sibley, pastor of St. Louis Chapel, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Rickey was a people person, so called ""Mr. Personality."" ?Being a husband and father was held in high regard to him. ?He loved acting, collecting vintage automobiles, traveling, and music. ?As a song writer, producer, and performer, he was able to touch many lives with a positive spirit. ?He will be greatly missed by his family, loved ones, and friends. Survivors include his wife, Florina M. Pierre; eight sons, Courtney Pierre, Rickey Pierre, Jr., Harry Pierre, III, Othello Pierre, Jean Pierre, Ahmad Pierre, Tracy Pierre, all of St. Martinville, and Ricardo Pierre, of Lafayette; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Pierre, of St. Martinville; his mother, Melanie Pierre, of St. Martinville; two brothers, John Edward Pierre, of Houma, and Perry James Pierre, of Texas City, TX; two sisters, Mary Louise Alex Pierre, of Lafayette, and Vickie Marie Joseph, of St. Martinville; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pierre; and his granddaughter, Sasha Lynn Pierre. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Louis Chapel in Parks until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
