Rickie A. O'Quain

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Rickie A. OQuain, 67, who passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday. Pastor Randy Rodriguez will conduct the memorial service. Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA at a later date. Rickie Allen O'Quain was born on October 17, 1949 to the late Archie and Nola Broussard O'Quain in Sulphur, LA. Rickie honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded two Bronze Star metals and a Vietnam Service metal during his time serving. Before moving to Breaux Bridge, he was a native of Sulphur where he retired as a retail manager and was a member of the Carlyss Volunteer Fire Department. Rickie enjoyed many things, such as, gardening, fishing, wood crafting, and cooking. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse Jo-Anne Buta O'Quain; daughters, Michelle O'Quain Dronet and husband Troy, Sarah Buta and Christi Jensen and husband Brian; sons, James Buta and wife Stephanie and Keith Harger and wife Lisa; brother, Rodney O'Quain and wife Betty; sister, Peggy Guillory; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to give special thanks to Grace Home Health and Hospice of Acadiana for the love and support given to Rickie during his time in need.
