St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Ricky John Boudreaux, 66, who passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Monday from 8:30 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Monday morning.
Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Janet Guidry, Chelsea Comeaux and Lexie Martinez. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Ricky John Boudreaux, a beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, was born on August 9, 1957, in St. Martinville. Ricky lived a life filled with joy from his passion for the outdoors to his skilled craftsmanship as a carpenter in the construction industry.
Ricky's love for fishing and hunting brought him solace and his talent for woodworking was evident in every project he undertook. His love for music, especially playing the guitar and singing, brought smiles to those around him. Known for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh, Ricky will be remembered for his caring nature and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Theresa Rosaline Boudreaux; brothers, Rawlin Boudreaux (Gayle) and Scottie Boudreaux (Patty); sister, Pal Rita Guillot (Enol); sister-in-law, Margaret Boudreaux; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alcee "Ram" Boudreaux and Elsie Dauphinet Boudreaux; sister, Judith Guidry and her husband, Alton Guidry; and his brother, Hampton Boudreaux.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Boudreaux, Darren Guidry, Joey Guillot, Craig Delahoussaye, Jason Guillot, and Dale White.
