New Iberia - A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 117 South Main Street, Loreauville for Rita Hulin Addie, 85 who died Monday, March 8, 2010 in New Iberia.
Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Rita was born on December 25, 1924 to Alex and Anita Segura Hulin. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was a CCD educator for many years. Rita worked for Abdalla's for 13 years and was a member of the Busy Bees Home Demonstration Club. She was an avid bowler, having played in various leagues.
Survivors include her daughters, Anita Addie Plummer and husband Bob of Porter, TX, Debbie Addie LaBarge and husband Brian of Iota, LA, Lisa Addie Aucoin and husband Stan of Broussard; daughter in law, Rebecca Addie of Youngsville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Addie; grandson, Jeremy Addie, two sister and three brothers.
Rita has donated her body to the Bureau of Anatomical Services as a contribution to medical education and research for the next generation.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Belle Teche Nursing Home, Heart of Hospice and First Option Home Health.
