Rita Rae Maio

New Iberia – Private services will be held at a later date for Rita Rae Maio, 71, who passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, in New Iberia. A resident of New Iberia for the last four years, Ms. Maio was born on December 25, 1949 in Raton, New Mexico and was previously a resident of Colorado and Wyoming. She was the proud owner of Rae’s Barber Shop in Wyoming and she enjoyed making Indian Ceremonial items and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Shannon Maio (Fiance Chad Courville) of New Iberia and Raedean Napulou (Craig) of Honolulu, Hawaii; mother, Barbara Faye Solano; and grandchildren, Moriah Sanchez and Eddie Hirano.
