New Iberia A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Rita Reed Terradot, 77 who died Saturday, November 1, 2014 in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia.
Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant.
A native of Avery Island, Mrs. Terradot was born on September 28, 1937 to Raymond Charles Reed and Madeline Delores Durand Reed. She worked for Schlumberger Well Service for 32 years, and then NATCO for 10 years, and was very active in her church, including teaching CCD for many years. Mrs. Terradot was an avid bridge player until Alzeheimers stopped her from playing, and she also enjoyed watching and playing tennis. Even when she was at the beginning stages of Alzeheimers, she would still go out to play tennis with her friend Renee Reed. She was also passionate in her poetry writing and had volumes written especially about her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John Joseph Terradot of New Iberia; children, Eric Pierce Terradot of Cade, Bernard David Terradot and wife Anna Cashio Terradot of New Iberia, Felicie Lissee Spiller and husband Kenneth of Lafayette; brother, William Pierce Reed and wife Charlotte of Lafayette; sister, Debra Claire Reed Castille and husband Gary of Florida; 7 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Charles Reed.
