Ritchie Louis Olivier

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2007, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Ritchie Louis Olivier, 39, who died Monday, January 8, 2007. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Ritchie was a commercial fisherman, airboat driver and also did some home construction work. He was a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula. He was a member of the Louisiana Wild Caught Crawfish Task Force. He loved shrimping, crawfishing, crabbing, sports and woodworking. Ritchie was a devoted husband and father who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Theriot Olivier; his sons, Hunter Charles Olivier and Blake Paul Olivier; his parents, Charles Richard Olivier and Livia Albert Olivier, all of Catahoula; his brothers, Russell James Olivier of Catahoula and Randall James Olivier of Cecilia; his sisters, Sheila Olivier Pauley and Kristy Lynn Olivier, both of Catahoula; his in-laws, Jeanette and Rogers Courville of Henderson; six nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Moise Albert, Sr. and Amenthe Louviere Albert; his paternal grandparents, Pearly LeBlanc and P.D. Olivier; his father-in-law, Dunice Paul Theriot; and his brother-in-law, Terry Theriot. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Russell James Olivier, Randall James Olivier, Clive Michael Pauley, Roland Paul Albert, Dennis Theriot, and Dunice "Dupy" Theriot.
