Coteau Holmes - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 25, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes, for Robby James Mayon, 36, who passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Rev. Joseph Padinjarepeedika, pastor of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Readers for the service will be Carmen Ruez and Annette Trahan. Trislyn Mayon, Tyler Simon and Brandon Horton will serve as gift bearers. ; "Rambo," enjoyed working, fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family, especially his wife and children. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. Robby was a kind-hearted man with a very generous and giving soul - he would help anyone who asked him. Survivors include his wife, Tammy C. Mayon; one son, Randin James Mayon; two daughters, Trislyn Renee Mayon and Taitlyn Renee Mayon, all of St. Martinville; his mother, Shirley S. Chataignier and step-father, Lynn Chataignier of Coteau Holmes; and three sisters, Karen Simon and husband, Aaron, of Houston, TX, Sandy Horton and husband, Johnny, and Tonia Case and husband, Jerry, Jr., all of St. Martinville. He was preceded in death by his father, Rogers Mayon; and his brother, Randy Mayon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. on Thursday and continue until 1:00 p.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Patrick Case, Jr., Elton Case, Cal Sedatol, Jerry Case, Jr. Charlie Simon and Johnny Horton, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Case, Johnny Horton, Jr. and David Pelous.
