Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Robert ""Boy"" Batiste, 58, who died Friday, April 29, 2005 at his residence. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Batiste; his parents, Rogers and Aspazie Davis Batiste of Cecilia; two daughters, Lynette Rossyion of Carencro and Erica Batiste of Arnaudville; one brother, Wilbert Batiste of Parks; three sisters, Georgia Williams of Cecilia, Shirley Helaire of Breaux Bridge and Rebecca Johnson of Baton Rouge; and one grandchild, Bailee M. Faulk. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Zeno Davis; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Batiste; and one brother, Alton Batiste. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8 AM on Tuesday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9 AM Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Horace Charles, Jr., Richard Williams, Donald Calais, Wilbert Batiste, Jr., Francisco Helaire, Jr., and Linton LeBlanc, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
