Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Robert “Bobby” Joseph Dartez, 57, who passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Rev. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Camrynn Dartez and Katherine Read. Gift Bearers will be Madeline Read and Ashley Dartez.
Bobby was a member of Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), the Tijuana Ministry, and Signa Nu. He was a well-known and highly-respected referee for high school football games in the surrounding area. Bobby enjoyed boiling crawfish, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Rene Ramirez Dartez of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Kadi Dartez of Austin, TX; his mother, Bobby Jo Raggio of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Kyle Dartez and wife Desiree, and Richard Dartez and wife Raeleen, all of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Holly Raggio Guidry of Denham Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Dartez; his stepfather, Rudy Raggio; and his stepmother, Irene Dartez.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Faust, Raymond Ramirez, Kyle Dartez, Richard Dartez, Chris Guilbeaux, and Gobbie Landry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Coleton Dartez and Hunter Dartez.
