New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Robert Lee "Bob" Breaux, 62, who died at 1:45 AM, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Donald Pelous will be the Celebrant. Readers will be Angelle Babineaux and Cohen Breaux. Gift Bearers include Danielle Babineaux, Drake LeBlanc, and Reid Breaux. Born on August 18, 1947 in Abbeville, Bob was a truck driver for 40 years, having worked for Venture Transportation. He had a deep love for Cajun music, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife, and best friend for 31 years, Susanna "Sue" Romero Breaux of New Iberia; son, Mark A. Breaux and wife Catherine of Breaux Bridge, Joey S. Breaux and wife Suzette of Crowley; daughter, Dodie Breaux LeBlanc and husband Dusty of New Iberia; grandchildren, Seth Breaux, Reid Breaux, Cohen Breaux, Chris Breaux, Logan Breaux, Cauy Breaux, Drake LeBlanc, Dylan LeBlanc; a very special sister-in-law and husband whom he called his Angels, Charmaine R. Babineaux and Elverse Babineaux, Jr.; 2 nieces whom he adored, Angelle and Danielle Babineaux; a very special brother-in-law and his wife who were very dear to his heart, Rene Romero and Linda T. Romero; nephews, Rene Romero, Jr. and Bo Romero. He was preceded in death by his parents Clodis and Agnes Hebert Breaux; an infant son; and a brother, Christopher Breaux. Pallbearers will be Mark Breaux, Joey Breaux, Elverse "Bozie" Babineaux, Jr., Dusty LeBlanc, Rene Romero, Raylan Cormier, Rene Romero, Jr., and Chris Breaux. Honorary pallbearers include Seth Breaux, Bo Romero, Cohen Breaux, Reid Breaux, Drake LeBlanc, Cauy Breaux, and Logan Breaux. Bob's family would like to give special thanks to AAA Home Health, especially his nurses, JoAnna and Amy, and also to Simone and Jeanea and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 27, 2009 from 12 Noon until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
