St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Robert F. Broussard, 60, who passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at his home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Robert worked for the parish government for 32 years. He enjoyed training and riding horses, working cows and trail riding. Robert was always there to lend a helping hand to others in need. He enjoyed life and was a hard worker. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father, Fulton Joseph Broussard, Sr.; significant other, Brenda Thibodeaux; son, Ryan Broussard and wife Sara; daughter, Jennifer Harris and husband Justin; brother, Steven Broussard and wife Connie; sister, Annette Schouest; and two grandchildren, Laney and Rance Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elize Broussard; brothers, Fulton "F.J" Jr., Chris, and Kenneth J. Broussard; and his aunt, Lema Mae "Lou" Broussard Viator.
Pallbearers will be Kenny "Blue" Broussard, Brent Broussard, Seth Schouest, David Whitney, Lee Schouest, Ben Broussard, Kevin Broussard, and Hillary Nelson.
