Robert Miller

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 21, 2012 at Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette for Robert 'Bob' Miller, 67 who died Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Lafayette. Mr. Miller was born in Carthage, New York on March 10, 1945, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served our country during the Vietnam War. A driller in the oilfield, he worked all over the world for Marlin Drilling, ODECO, and other companies. Bob was also a self employed auto mechanic and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Judy Baldridge Miller of New Iberia; daughter, Dawn Duhon and husband John of Lafayette; sons, Robert L. Miller, II and wife Debbie of Youngsville, Shannon D. Miller and wife Angela of New Iberia; brothers, Mark J. Miller, Jr. of Wilton, AL, Larry C. Miller of New Iberia; sisters, Nancy Meeks of Orewell, NY, Karen Colyer of Bloomfield, NY; sister-in-law, Suzan LaDue of Harrisville, NY; grandchildren, Ethan Duhon, Samantha Miller, Austin Miller, Kevin Barrow; great grandchildren, Kira Barrow, Ryker Barrow; and his pet dogs who were his companions, 'Dooby' and 'Pete'. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Miller, Sr. and Julia Cassler; and a brother, Harold F. Miller.
