Cecilia - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Robert 'Bob' Savoie, 69, who passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Monday and continue at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday. Father Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jake Savoie. Gift Bearers will be Trevor LeGrand and Caitlin Guilbeau. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Robert enjoyed gardening and taking road trips. 'Bob' enjoyed Sunday dinners at home and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed telling stories about his own childhood and working experience to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Rose Laneaux Savoie of Cecilia; his mother, Pauline Berard Savoy of Cecilia; his sons, Robbie and his wife, Sharon of Breaux Bridge and Boyd Savoie and his wife, Mona of Cecilia, his daughters, Francine Menard and her husband, Luke of Cecilia, Michelle LeGrand and her husband, Dale of Cecilia, and Kamie Savoie and her boyfriend, Sean Young of Baton Rouge; his brother, William 'Bill' Savoy and his wife, Sheila of Cecilia; his sisters, Sheila Hebert and her husband, Tony of Cecilia and Sheron Delahoussaye of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Justin Menard, Bailey Menard, Trent LeGrand, Trevor LeGrand, Ian Savoie, Kale Savoie, and Jake Savoie. He is preceded in death by his father, Percy Savoy; his grandparents, and his nephew, Deacon Delahoussaye. Pallbearers will be Robbie Savoie, Boyd Savoie, Dale LeGrand, Luke Menard, Sean Young, and William 'Bill' Savoy. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, and his brother-in-law, Tony Hebert.
