Robert E. Thibodeaux

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Robert Elic Thibodeaux, 63, who passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in St. Mary Parish. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Roland Fontenot will officiate. Born on October 5, 1945 in Erath, Mr. Thibodeaux was a security guard at Cypress Bayou Casino and had previously worked in the oilfield for over 40 years. He had worked for Expro and for Superior Energy, as well as other companies. He enjoyed working on cars, camping, reading, and riding motorcycles. Survivors include wife, Wanda Gail Thibodeaux of New Iberia; sons, Elic Thibodeaux and wife Marsha of Kaplan, Beau R. Thibodeaux and wife Linda of New Iberia; daughters, Lesley Mouton and husband Shawn of New Iberia, Monique Milligan and husband Andy of Houston; brother, Neil Thibodeaux and wife Sharon of Erath; sisters, Sandra Broussard and husband Sam of Abbeville, Monica Langlinais and husband Justin of Erath; grandchildren, Sara Dianna Thibodeaux, Brettney Atkins Thibodeaux, Keigen Robert Thibodeaux, Seth Mouton, Hailey Mouton, MacKenzie Mouton, Allen Milligan, Stephanie Milligan, Josh Milligan, Kacie Christensen, and Rachel Milligan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Thibodeaux, and Anna Belle Dubois Thibodeaux; and a daughter, Angela Marie Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Sam Broussard, Chris Feller, Neil Thibodeaux, Justin Langlinais, Toby Thibodeaux, Ted Broussard, and Carl Broussard. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 3:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
