Rochelle Nana Peltier

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Rochelle "Nana" Peltier, 70, who passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM Wednesday. Rev. Paul Onuegbe will officiate. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Ms. Peltier was born on December 27, 1944 in St. Martin Parish to Anthony and Lorraine Cormier Champagne, and was a resident of New Iberia. She worked as a nurse at Iberia Medical Center for over 38 years. Ms. Peltier enjoyed making prayer blankets for the Diocese of Lafayette, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Todd M. Peltier and wife Celeste of New Iberia, and Chris A. Peltier and wife Liesa of New Iberia; brothers, Merrill Champagne and wife Cathie of Saint Martinville, Ronnie Champagne and wife Gail of Saint Martinville, Scott Champagne of New Iberia, Kim Champagne and wife Vickie of Saint Martinville; grandchildren, Chalisse Peltier, Chelsea Giroir, and Landen Peltier. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Todd Peltier, Chris Peltier, Merrill Champagne, Ronnie Champagne, Kim Champagne, and Scott Champagne. The family would like to give special thanks to Fr. Paul Onuegbe for his compassion and friendship.
