New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 9, 2011 at St. Peters Catholic Church in New Iberia for Rockney 'Rock' Pellerin, 55 who died Monday, July 4, 2011 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. Born on October 28, 1955 , Rockney was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia . He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. 'We all miss you, all of us love you, you will be missed greatly, you are in the Lords hands now, there is no more pain, rest in peace, sadly missed by your family and friends' Survivors include his mother Louise Viator Pellerin of New Iberia; his daughter, Lacy Pellerin Scott and husband Gary of Coocle, Utah; his brothers, Jules Pellerin, Sr. of Catahoula, Russell Pellerin and fiancee Cevelia Juneau of New Iberia, Gilbert 'Gil' Pellerin, Sr. and wife Deborah of Scott, Perry Pellerin, Sr. and wife Chryl of New Iberia; his sister, Jeanell Boudreaux and husband Darrel Boudreaux, Sr. of Jeanerette; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Rebecka Scott of Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Jules Pellerin, Sr. and his brother, Edward Joseph Pellerin. Pallbearers will be Russell Pellerin, Darrel Boudreaux, Sr., Justin Decuir, Gil Pellerin, Jules Pellerin, Jr. and Chris Pellerin. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 10:30 AM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday.
