Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 7 pm, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Roger D. Chavers, 52, who passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 am until 10 pm on Wednesday. Trey Chavers will officiate at the Funeral Service. Roger worked for Brand Pro-Therm for the last 15 years. He loved family gatherings, fishing, horseback riding, barbecuing, and boiling crawfish. Roger was an avid fan of L.S.U. Football and never missed an opportunity to watch a game. He is survived by his wife, Tina Breaux Chavers of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Joyce Ann Chavers; daughter, Brandy Wascome and step daughter Jolie Rester; step-son, Joshua Breaux; brothers, Garland Ray Chavers, Jr. and Bob Chavers; sister, Kathy Hebert; half-sisters, Michelle Bass and Danielle Price; and his grandchildren, Kryssa Hebert and Brennan Hebert. He is preceded in death by his father, Garland Ray Chavers, Sr.; son, Paul Wayne Berry, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Fugler, Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Chavers. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
