Rogers "Baby Blue" Courville

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Rogers "Baby Blue" Courville, 70, who passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm on Tuesday by Deacon Ken Soignier. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Rogers was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening and hunting. Rogers also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse of 48 years, Lucy N. Courville; daughters, Lori Bernard and Kelly LeGrand and husband Gerald, Jr.; brother, Adam "Butch" Courville and wife Lillian; grandchildren, Lexi LeGrand, Chloe Bernard, Landon LeGrand and Kaine LeGrand. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Jace LeGrand; and parents, Louis Courville and Alma Begnaud Courville. Pallbearers will be Butch Courville, Jonas Courville, Mark Courville, Gerald LeGrand, Lynn Olivier, and Al Guidry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen Artigue, Leo Lejeune, Ronald Bergeron, and Dennis Begnaud. The family wishes to thank the staff of J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home for their compassionate care for Mr. Courville.
