Roland Courville

Cecilia A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia, for Roland Courville, 56, who passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 am until 1:45 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm on Thursday. Brother Rob Burdeaux will officiate at the Memorial Service. Roland was employed at Guidry's Fresh Cuts in Arnaudville. As a pastime he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing baseball, along with other sports. He loved family functions and spending time with his family. Family and friends will remember him for his kindness, honesty, and the giving soul that he portrayed. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wheaton Courville of Breaux Bridge; his son, Louis Courville of Breaux Bridge; his step sons Jacob Wheaton of Duson and Marcus Schreck of Breaux Bridge; his brothers, Bobby (Tina) Courville, Sr. of Vinton and Ernest J. (Christy) Courville, Sr. of Amite; and his sister, Mary (Shane) Champagne of Breaux Bridge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Author and Orelia Courville; and his brother, John Courville.
