Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Roland Jean Rivette, Jr., 32, who died on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Fr. Keenan Brown will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Randy Angelle and gift bearers will be Trudy Longoria and Suzanne Waters. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery. Roland was employed as a crane operator for several companies, Trico Marine, C. F. Bean, Weeks Marine, BoMac Industries, Manson Gulf . He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and family gatherings. His happiest moments were spending time with his daughter, Lexi. Survivors include his parents, Roland and Rose Marie Hardy Rivette; his daughter, Lexi Rivette; two brothers, Shane Rivette and his wife, Nathalia, and Troy Rivette; two sisters, Melissa Usie and her husband, Randy, and Amy Chalala and her husband, Patrick; four nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Zula Rivette; and maternal grandparents, Leon and Wilda Hardy. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Shane Rivette, Troy Rivette, Randy Usie, Dean Angelle, Gary Angelle, and Beau Olivier. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Chalala and Ben Usie.
