Ronald Hubbard

New Iberia - Ronald A. Hubbard, a dedicated and hardworking man, passed away at the age of 67, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date.

Pastor Paul Neel will officiate.

Visitation will be Saturday, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A longtime area resident, Mr. Hubbard was born on August 29, 1956, to Clyde and Barbara Mitchell Hubbard. His career spanned over 42 years, working for Orion Carbon Black Industries, formerly known as Ashland, Degussa Carbon. With unwavering commitment and a strong work ethic, Ronald was an integral part of the company's success.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ronald will be remembered for his profound love for God and his family. He found comfort and inspiration in the presence of both. 

Ronald's warm and compassionate nature extended beyond his loved ones to those around him. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, he was always there to assist anyone in need. His kindness knew no bounds, and his generosity touched the lives of many.

In addition to his dedication to work and family, Ronald had a passion for various hobbies that enriched his life. Spending time in his workshop brought him great joy.

When not occupied with woodworking, Ronald would often be found riding his motorcycle. The freedom he felt while cruising down open roads brought him much happiness. He enjoyed every moment spent on his bike. Ronald also enjoyed mechanic work.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cathy Kern Hubbard; mother, Barbara Mitchell Hubbard; children, Holly Hubbard, John Michael Hubbard (Lauren), and Eric Paul Hubbard; grandchildren, Allie Wright, Tobin Wright, Auri Hubbard, Gunner Hubbard, and Ryleigh Hubbard; great grandchild, Braxton Wright; siter, Sheralyn Derise (Roy); brother, Johnny Hubbard (Arlean); godchild, Leslie Hall (Jerry); and his beloved dog, “Bella”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Hubbard.

The loss of Ronald Hubbard is deeply felt by all those whose lives he touched. His presence will be missed, but his memory will forever live on in our hearts.
