Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Ronald Charles Pop Lauchner, 63, who died on Friday, February 26, 2010.
Pop, as he was better known by his family and friends, was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and looked forward to the many opportunities that he could get on his Harley and ride. Always willing to help anyone in need, Pop was always participating in many local benefits and charity fundraisers.
He was a former member of the Bayou Demons Riding Club and one of the founding members of the Louisiana Chapter of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.
Pop will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and his Brothers of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.
Survivors include his wife, Tiki Lauchner, of Arnaudville; two sons, Shawn Lauchner, of Leonville, and Corey Lauchner, of Carencro; one daughter, Dawn Vincent, of Carencro; his step son, David Winemiller, of Arnaudville; his step daughter, Shannon Wilks, of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Mary Evelyn Lauchner, of Arnaudville; his sister, Lela Missy Rhodes, of Arnaudville; six grandchildren and ten step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Lauchner.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home on Saturday from 8 a.m. and continue until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Lauchner, Corey Lauchner, C. J. Guidry, Harry Anderson, Roy Cooper, and David Winemiller.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.
