New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM , Tuesday, December 7, 2010 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Ronald W. 'Ron' Leger, 54, who passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in St. Martinville. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery . Survivors include wife, Dori Leger of St. Martinville; sons, Sgt. Nicholas J. Leger and wife Brandi of Fort Eustis, Virginia ; daughter, Elizabeth L. Nunez and husband Brent of New Iberia; step sons, Steven P. Richard and Marty I. Zirlott both of Franklin; step daughter, Nicole E. Ross of Franklin; brothers, Donald J. Leger and wife Shirley of Augusta, Georgia, Lionel J. Leger of St. Martinville; sister, Constance 'Connie' L. Copeland and husband Allen of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Conner E. Leger, Trinity M. LeJeune, Olivia M. Leger, Mya P. Nunez, Alexis N. Leger; step grandchildren, Steven Richard, Jr., Mya Richard, Sage Ross, Alyssa Ross, Page Verret, A'Liyah Richard, Breyonna Verret; and he is also survived by the mother of his children, Phyllis Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Betty Thibodeaux Leger; and a granddaughter, Isabelle R. Leger. Pallbearers will be Allen Copeland, Lionel Leger, Brent Nunez, Steven Richard, Joe Pierre, Shane Courville, Marty Zirlott, and Nicholas Leger. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Leger, and Mitchell Verret. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
