New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM , Wednesday, March 7, 2012 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Ronald Joseph Vaughn, 79, who passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Lafayette . Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery . Rev. Mike Arnaud will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Born on April 21, 1932 in Loreauville, Mr. Vaughn retired from Texaco with over 36 years of service. An avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Hornets, he enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Alma Courville Vaughn of New Iberia; sons, Steven Vaughn and wife Melissa of Baton Rouge, Marvin Vaughn of Walker, David Latiolais and wife Dianne of Nashville, TN; daughters, Lisa Latiolais Dozier and husband Lee of Panama City Beach, FL., Melanie Latiolais Griffin of Loreauville; brothers, Allen Vaughn and wife Nell of Loreauville, Gerald Vaughn of Loreauville, Claude Vaughn and wife Mazel of New Iberia; sister, Irene Breaux of Groves, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Naomie Bonin Vaughn; his first wife, Beverly Bourque Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Vaughn; brother, Gilman Vaughn; sisters, Eve Plessala, and Della Melancon. Pallbearers will be Steven Vaughn, Marvin Vaughn, David Latiolais, Allen Vaughn, Lennis Bellot and Ian Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers include Gerald Vaughn, Claude Vaughn, and Ray Viator.
