Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rosa Mae Touchet Champagne, 86, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Father Keith Landry, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Rosa Mae enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Champagne of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Edola Boyer and her husband, Darrell of Breaux Bridge and Pracilla Pris Bordelon of Lafayette; her six grandchildren, Gregory Bordelon and his wife, Diane, Alana Guidry and her husband, Randy , Gary Bordelon and his wife, Victoria, Mark Boyer and his wife, Kari, Leslie Thibodeaux and her husband, Kevin and Angela Boswell and her husband Cody; and her fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Champagne; her parents, Joseph and Rose Douet Touchet; her brother, Gilbert Touchet; and her sisters, Rose Poirier, Mary Angelle and Edola Touchet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Bordelon, Alana Guidry, Gary Bordelon, Mark Boyer, Leslie Thibodeaux and Angela Boswell.
Honorary pallbearer will be Darrell Boyer.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
