VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, September 28, 2009, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Rosabelle Poirier Breaux, 72, who passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at her residence in St. Martinville. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Bethany Duplechine will read and gift bearers will be Marissa Breaux and Faith Breaux. Rosabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved her family. She retired from Fruit of the Loom after 26 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Maurice Breaux, Sr. of St. Martinville; her son, Toby Breaux and his wife, Monica of New Iberia; her daughters, Rosalie Breaux; Belinda Theriot and her husband, Lorne, Cardell Melancon and John Beaugh, Rebecca "Becky" Latiolais and her husband, Kenneth all of St. Martinville and Melissa Breaux and Jeremy Prejean of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Ewell Poirier of St. Martinville, Francis Poirier of New Iberia, Donald Poirier of St. Martinville, Rodney Poirier of St. Martinville, and Julien Poirier, Jr. of Erath; her sisters, Margaret Segura of St. Martinville, Rose Hulin of Youngsville and Patsy Gonzales of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Cris Melancon, Marissa Breaux, Faith Breaux, Bradley LeBlanc, Jamie Guillot, Tracy Latiolais, Jake Theriot and Lance Theriot; her great grandchildren, Jaden Guillot, Ava Theriot, Briggs Theriot, Riggs Douet and Brooke Douet. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Euphemie Romero Poirier; her sisters, Judy Latiolais, and Edmae Freeman and her brother, Louis Poirier. The Family wishes to express their thanks to Hospice of Acadiana and her nurse, Mrs. Margaret Gary, and to our wonderful aunt, Margaret Segura for the care and compassion that was given to Rosabelle during her illness. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2009 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Jake Theriot, Lance Theriot, Cris Melancon, Bradley LeBlanc, Tracy Latiolais, Mark Segura and Terry Segura. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Breaux, Riggs Douet and Silas Capritto. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
