Rose Delahoussaye Gautreaux

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Rose Delahoussaye Gautreaux, 89, who passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Opelousas General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 12:45 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Hannah Gautreaux, Cindy Billiot, Madeline Everett, Rebekah Gautreaux, Chilali Billiot, and Darrell Billiot. Readers will be Marsha Gaspard, Tanisha Everett, and Shawn Gautreaux. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Rose enjoyed cooking, cleaning, spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Martha A. Gautreaux; her daughter-in-law, Bernice Gautreaux; five grandchildren, Marsha Gaspard, Natalie Guidry, Tanisha Everett, Shawn Gautreaux, and Colby Huval; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gautreaux, Sr.; her parents, Clemere and Martha Champagne Delahoussaye; two sons, Leonard Gautreaux, Jr. and Gregory J. Gautreaux; and two brothers, Lionel and Daniel Delahoussaye. Pallbearers will be Natalie Guidry, Shawn Gautreaux, Tony Delahoussaye, Jared Guidry, Anthony Billiot, and Nicholas Everett.
