Rose 'Tut Tut' Jacob

Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Loreauville for Rose "Tut Tut" Jacob, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 7:30 AM until 12:15 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM Saturday, led by The Legion of Mary. A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Jacob was born on July 22, 1942 to the late Joseph and Velma Olivier Antoine. She was a member of the Sweetheart Social Club, and she enjoyed playing pokeno, bingo, solving word search puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Herman Jacob; sons, Herman Jacob, Jr. and wife Sherry of Maurice, Kenneth Jacob (Shandreka) of Loreauville, Christopher Jacob and wife Shearro of St. Martinville, Nathaniel Jacob of Baton Rouge; daughters, Claudette Jacob (Anthony) of Loreauville, Charlene Jacob of Loreauville, Monica Jacob of Loreauville, Charlotte Anthony and husband Garnell of Loreauville, Latricia Jacob of New Iberia, Shantina Anthony and husband Oswald of Loreauville, Demetria Jacob of New Iberia; brothers, Russell Joseph and wife Cyndi of Allentown, PA, Floyd Joseph and wife Betty of Nacogdoches, TX, Lester Joseph and wife Laura Lynn of Houston, TX, Harold Joseph and wife Wanda of Houston, TX; sisters, Linda Joseph Gloud and husband Curtis of Loreauville, Gail Joseph Polk of Loreauville; 27 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carlton Joseph, Antoine Joseph, Jr.; her aunt who raised her, Cecile Broussard; father-in-law, Oswald Jacob, Sr., mother-in-law, Stella Jacob; and grandson, Kaylon Jacob. Pallbearers will be Herman Jacob III, Marcus Jacob, Isaias Vital Jr., Trent Jacob, Shelbia Mallery, and Christian Jacob. Honorary pallbearers include Nathaniel Jacob, Matthew Jacob, Christopher Jacob, Herman Jacob Jr., Russell Joseph, Floyd Joseph, Harold Joseph, Lester Joseph, Spencer Anthony, and Kenneth Jacob.
