Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Roxanne Abraham Young, 53, who passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Roxanne was born May 28, 1967 in Lafayette. She was a family woman, a mother to everyone, and a great friend to anyone she would meet. After you met Roxanne, she was a friend forever. She always put others before herself. Her compassionate and loving personality will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Charles Young; four sons, John Hawthorne (Jashae Brown), Johnathan Hawthorne, Joshua Hawthorne and Jacob Hawthorne (Taylor Macon); daughter, Jennifer Simon; mother, Brenda Abraham; three sisters, Renee Simon (Patrick), Marina Abraham and Latoya Abraham; two brothers, Freddie Abraham Jr. (Audrey) and Lamont Abraham Sr. (Claudene); friend, Fredricka Charles; her aunt, Zina Thomas; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Freddy J. Abraham, Sr.; sister, Michelle Abraham; paternal grandmother, Marina Benjamin; and maternal grandmother, Pauline James. Pallbearers will be Kyle Potier, Drake Simon, Freddie Abraham III, Brandon Abraham, Corey Abraham, and Lamont Abraham. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hawthorne, Joshua Hawthorne, Johnathan Hawthorne, Jacob Hawthorne, Lamar Abraham, and Terry Abraham Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
