Roy Junius Benjamin

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Roy Junius Benjamin, 68, who passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at his residence. Interment will follow at Praise Cemetery in St. Martinville. Survivors include a brother, Lill J. Benjamin, of St. Martinville; four sisters, Annabelle Alexander and her husband, Charles, of Breaux Bridge, Verna Charles, of St. Martinville, Rosa LaGrange, of Lafayette, and Mary Lee Benjamin, of St. Martinville; and three godchildren, Clarence Charles, Jr., LaKayisha Collin, and Felicha LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his parents, Madeline Pickney and Junius Benjamin, Sr.; a sister, Viola Patterson; and a brother, Anthony Benjamin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
