Roy Messex

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Nicholson and Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoistington, KS for Roy "Gabby" Messex, 87, who died on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. "Gabby" was a very outgoing person, always visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and watching the birds and squirrels that were in the yard. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include his sons, Dennis Messex of Flugerville, TX and Brian Messex of OK; his sister, Opal McArthur of Aransas Pass, TX and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Bryant and Maude Travis; his sons; and his sisters, Edith and Sussie. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
