Roy Nicholas Perriou

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Roy Nicholas Perriou, 86, of Arnaudville, who died on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at J. Michael Memorial Nursing Home, in Arnaudville. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, in Cecilia. Mr. Perriou was a longtime employee of Standard Dredging and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Guidry Perriou of Arnaudville; two sisters, Hazel Olivier Guidry and Irene Allemond Quebodeaux, both of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Ronald Periou, Michael Periou, and Karen Periou Wilkes, all of LaPorte, TX; and four great grandchildren, Cody Martin, Chase Martin, A.J. Wilkes, and Ryan Wilkes, all of LaPorte, TX. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Periou; his parents, Usville and Ophelia Dore Perriou; his sister, Editha P. Guidry Lormond; and his brothers, Benoit Periou, Bernard Periou, and Henry Allemond. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, in Cecilia. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of the arrangements.
