New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM , Friday, January 6, 2012 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Ruby Robicheaux Babineaux, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2012 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery . Rev. Ed Downs will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .. Visitation will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM . Born on April 4, 1931 , Mrs. Babineaux was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia . She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for Breaux and Mixon CPA, Warren Barras CPA, and Jem Products. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Joseph 'Al' Babineaux of New Iberia; children, Cynthia deGravelle and husband Dr. Martin deGravelle of New Iberia, Renee Champagne and husband Paul of New Iberia, Yvonne Romero and husband Patrick of Lafayette, Robert Babineaux and wife Michelle of New Iberia, Kurt Babineaux and wife Helen of New Iberia; sister, Susie Badeaux of New Iberia; grandchildren, Dr. Michael Guidry, Stacie Colletti, Amie Champagne, Cory Rogers, Shane Rogers, Cameron Babineaux, Tori Babineaux, Alex Babineaux, Clair Champagne; 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Robicheaux and Eva Marceaux Robicheaux; son-in-law, Glen L. Guidry; and siblings, Aline Robicheaux, Ruth Boynton, Asay Robicheaux, and Nephie Robicheaux. Pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Guidry, Cory Rogers, Cameron Babineaux, Shane Rogers, Christopher Colletti, and Hunter Rogers. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Martin deGravelle, Paul Champagne, and Patrick Romero.
