Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ruby Ann Broussard, 88, who died Friday, April 6, 2007 at ?Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will follow at St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Agnes Prejean of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Ervin Alexander and his wife, Laura, of Breaux Bridge; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Broussard; her parents, Marshall and Pearl Gordon Alexander; four sons, Percy, Leroy, Daniel, and Harold Broussard; two daughters, Peggy Broussard and Elsie Gary; one sister, Gustavia Spikes; and two brothers, Vincent and John Alexander.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Troy Broussard, James Broussard, Nathan Gary, Harold Broussard, Jr., Lavin Auzenne, and Earl Caddie, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lennis Prejean, Kevin Broussard, Nedley Gary, Justin Batiste, Roland Fredrick, Joseph Sam, Devin Arceneaux, Andre Broussard, Ervin Alexander, Gregory Sonnier, Tyrone Jones, and Jonathan Cormier.
The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation to everyone who has shown love and concern during their time of loss.
