New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Ruby Marie Myers, 57, who passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery, in Franklin. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Born on June 25, 1951 in New Iberia, Ruby enjoyed playing cards, drinking coffee, and watching television. Survivors include her son, Ronald J. Myers, Jr. and companion Christine Dorion of New Iberia; daughters, Ellen Bonin and husband Alfred, Mona Bonin and husband Ulysse Bonin, Jr., Lucille Dore and husband Jimmy, Shelia Blanchard and husband Hugues Blanchard, Jr., Christine Bonin and husband Paul all of New Iberia; brothers, David Robicheaux, Roy Robicheaux, Nolan Robicheaux all of New Iberia, Theogene Robicheaux of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Shirley R. Savoie of Franklin, Mary R. Broussard of New Iberia; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Joseph Myers, Sr.; parents, Theogene and Anna Mae Leonard Robicheaux; daughter, Tina Marie Myers; son, Christopher Joseph Myers. Pallbearers include Ronald Myers, Jr., Nolan Robicheaux, David Robicheaux, Alfred Bonin, Jr., Paul Bonin, and Jimmy Bonin. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Trahan and Albert Friou, Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 10:30 AM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
