New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM , Monday, November 15, 2010 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Russell J. Cuvillier, Sr., 87, who passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery . Lee Higgins and Ronnie Cuvillier will officiate. Born on November 10, 1923 , Mr. Cuvillier was a retired boat captain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Russell Cuvillier, Jr. and wife Belinda of Youngsville, Ronnie Cuvillier and wife Myrna of Patterson, Bobby Cuvillier and wife Carroll of Morgan City; daughter, Gloria Cuvillier of New Iberia ; sisters, Burcie Ragin of Baldwin , Elveda Faul of Pine Prairie; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cuvillier; parents, Aristile and Camellia Cavalier Cuvillier; brothers, James Cuvillier, A.J. Cuvillier, Comile Cuvillier; sisters, Rita Cuvillier, Lola Solar, Eve Rousseaux; step sister, Celeste; and a granddaughter, Juanita Collins. Pallbearers will be Ryan Cuvillier, Darren Cuvillier, Blake Cuvillier, Chet Cuvillier, Jason Beasley, and Christopher Collins. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
