A resident of Scott, and a former longtime resident of New Iberia, Russell A. Mouton, affectionately known as "Bub" to his grandchildren, was born on October 23, 1950. He was a sports enthusiast who dedicated his career to golf as a professional. Russell had a deep passion for playing golf and baseball and watching all sports.
Russell was celebrated for his handiness and knack for fixing anything - truly a "Jack of all trades." His love for the outdoors extended to working in his yard, where he found peace and joy.
Described as incredibly friendly, Russell never met a stranger and had a unique ability to connect with anyone he encountered. His warm personality made him a beloved figure in the lives of many.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Russell's presence in his family's life was unwavering. He made it a priority to never miss any of his children's or grandchildren's activities, always offering his support and love wholeheartedly.
Mr. Mouton is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Macky Mouton; sons, Alex Mouton (Lydia) and Jason Mouton (McKenzie); father, Willard Mouton; grandchildren, Ellys, Rhys, Amelie, Cooper and Nora Mouton (and one more on the way!); and siblings, Renee Healy (Chuck), Rowland Mouton, Richard Mouton (Kay Ellen), Robert Mouton, and Remy Mouton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, May Mouton; and son, Jake Mouton.
Mr. Mouton will be remembered for his kind heart, versatile skills, and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
