Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Russell James Patin, Jr., 60, who passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Russell was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Hortensia Pillado Patin of Henderson; four sons, Jonah (Lillian) Denais of Breaux Bridge, John Boney of Lafayette, Joshua (Heather) Boney of Cecilia, and Kevin Pillado of Mexico; one daughter, Ashley Pillado of Mexico; one brother, Gillray (Sherry) Patin of Henderson; and one sister, Cheryl (Albert) MaGee of Carencro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Patin, Sr. and Bernice Stelly Patin; and his grandparents, Robert and Batistine Patin and Freddy and Agnes Stelly. Pallbearers will be Jonah Denais, John Boney, Joshua Boney, Bronson Girouard, Miles Dore, and Jason Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Guidry, Jesus Pillado, and Marco Pillado.
