New Iberia Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Russy Hayes, 67, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. Mr. Hayes was a very good hearted person and enjoyed helping people throughout his daily life. He liked riding his bike everywhere around town. Mr. Hayes cherished moments with family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Hayes and boyfriend Jose Rodriguez of New Iberia, LA; sons, Anthony Hayes and friend Diane Richard of New Iberia, LA, Kevin Hayes of St. Martinville, LA, Christopher Hayes of Broussard, LA, Toby Hayes and wife Natalie of Broussard, LA, Shelby Hayes and wife Holly of New Iberia, La;step-son Shannon Hayes of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Charles Woodward, Jr., Chelsea Woodward, Coby Martinez, Mechelle Hayes, Macee Hayes, MaKayla Shae Hayes, Gage Hayes, and Kole Hayes; brother, Paul Hayes and wife Glenda; sister Helen Petit and husband Gerald. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Norton Hayes.
