New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for Ruth Delcambre Moron, 94, who died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Celebrant for the Mass will be Father Charles Langlois. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Ruth was an active member of St. Peters Catholic Church congregation, volunteering her time to the church for 40 years. She also volunteered numerous hours as a Pink Lady at Dauterive Hospital for many years after retiring from the Court House and City Hall, where she worked for over 20 years. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Laura 'Sis' Delcambre of New Iberia; also numerous nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel M. Moron; her parents, Delino and Lily Marin Delcambre; her sister, Mrs. George (Lucille) Armstrong of Lafayette; and three brothers, James M. Delcambre, Donald L. Delcambre, and Richard 'Dick' Delcambre, all of New Iberia. Pall bearers will include members of the family.
