Ruth Usie

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ruth Dor Usie, 86, who died Friday, January 5, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Usie devoted her life to her husband of 67 years and her beautiful family that she adored. She would go fishing as often as she could and enjoyed listening to Cajun music and going to sporting events. Survivors include her husband, Weston Usie of Breaux Bridge; three sons, Gerald Usie and his wife Eula, Mike Usie and his wife, Rene, and Jimmy Usie and his wife, Carla; two daughters, Tricia Usie and Shelia Belaire and her husband, Darrell, all of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Steven Dor of Splendora, TX, Stafford Dor; of Crystal Beach, TX, and Larry Dor of Scott; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dor; one daughter, Emily Usie; one son, Gary J. Usie; three brothers, Ivan, Vernus and Ames Dor; and one sister, Enola Laviolette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and continue until time of service on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Gerald, Mike, Jimmy, Gary, Wayne and Ross Usie. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
