Arnaudville - A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Sadie Rivette, 90, who passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024.

A visitation will take place on Saturday at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm until the time of service.

Brother Chad Norman of First Baptist Church in Opelousas will officiate the funeral service. Music will be provided by Joe Hill.

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Sadie, a beloved caregiver known for her kind heart and her devotion to her family. Born on April 2, 1934, in Arnaudville, she embraced a life of compassion and service, touching the lives of many with her selfless nature and love for others.

Throughout her life, Sadie had a nurturing presence and put others needs before her own. She cherished her family and loved visiting with company. Her deep-rooted faith in God guided her path, leading her to lead a life of prayer and devotion. Sadie's boundless generosity and giving spirit endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her, leaving a lasting legacy of love and compassion.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Rodosta, Lane Taylor (Tina), Jackie Dupuis (Rickie), Barbara Hebert, Kayla Schexnaider (Pat), and Shanna Franklin (Jody); sister, Thelma Devillier; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonce and Emma Guidroz Chautin; first husband, Dudley Taylor; second husband, Eugene Rivette; brothers, Ervin Chautin and Robert Chautin; and one sister, Della Richard.

Pallbearers will be Lane Taylor, Jody Franklin, Logan Franklin, Corey Barron, Seth Dupuis, and Chris Gauthier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kaylin Guidroz, Scotty Barron, Garrett Dupuis, Derek Lagneaux, and Rickie Dupuis.
