New Iberia - Funeral services for Sandra Allen will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in New Iberia with Rev. Scott Bullock officiating.
Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery.
Born on March 25, 1937 in Selmer, Tennessee, Sandra is the daughter of Claude Adam and Sarah Evelyn Gillespie Posey. Sandra died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 30, 2009 with her husband by her side. She served as vice president for Summit Equipment, which she worked alongside with her husband Charles. She will be loved always and missed greatly by the many persons she touched during her years of service to her church community as a Stephen Minister.
Survivors include her loving husband Charles Allen of New Iberia; her son, Dr. Phillip Allen and wife Laurie of Albany, GA; her daughters, Sherri Allen Moore and husband David of New Iberia and Vicki Allen Sorrel and husband Max of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Claire Allen, Rachel Allen, Sarah Masters and husband Bryan, Charlie Moore, Aaron Moore, Dr. Nicholas Sorrel, Nicole Parich and husband Tim and Jonathan Sorrel; her great grandchildren, Isaiah Parich and Elijah Parich.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister Deborah Posey.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Phillip Allen, Charlie Moore, Aaron Moore, Dr. Nicholas Sorrel, Jonathan Sorrel, David Moore and Max Sorrel.
The family acknowledges and extends their appreciation for the outpouring of calls and the many expressions of sympathy and support. They ask for your continued prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Sunday from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM.
