Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 28, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Sandy L. Green, 62, who died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father Don Leger, pastor of St. Bernard Church will conduct services. Readers will be Jane LeBlanc and Stella Herwig. Gifts will be offered by his grandchildren. Sandy was the owner of Green's Piggly Wiggly in Cecilia for the past 35 years. He was a member of the St. Bernard Altar Society and Bally Hack Hunting Club. He was a veteran of the US Army - Special Forces. He was also a member of the Special Forces Association, Piggly Wiggly Association and Affiliated Foods Southwest. He was a past board member of Citizens National Bank. He enjoyed his work and his favorite pastime was hunting. Survivors include his wife, Rose LeBlanc Green of Breaux Bridge; his son, Dayne James Green of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Dawn Green Guidry and her husband, Mark, of Cecilia; his brothers, Aaron and David Green both of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Norma Thibodeaux of Lafayette, Thelma Usie of Baton Rouge, Lucy Courville and Gloria Camille both of Catahoula and Stella Herwig of Breaux Bridge; and his grandchildren, Taylar Dayne Green, Landon Jude Green, Ganon Jon Green, Brayden Lee Guidry, Maya Rae Guidry, and Kade Michael Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. Green and Lucy Stoute Green and his sister, Martha Rodriguez. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 am ~ 10 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2006 and continue at 7 am Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm Sunday. Pallbearers will be Randy Arceneaux, Dale Trahan, Kevin Doucet, Scotty LeJeune, Chad Leger and Larkin Mulhearn. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard School, 251 E.
